Alfa Romeo MiTo GTA計畫擱置

Aston Martin宣佈取消Lagonda SUV概念車計畫後，Alfa Romeo一位匿名女發言人在採訪中表示：MiTo GTA已被擱置，在目前金融危機時期製造一款高性能車型不符合經濟原則。MiTo GTA最初以概念車形式在日內瓦車展展出，配備240hp馬力1.8公升渦輪增壓直噴4缸引擎，配備雙重可變氣門正時。搶眼外型，高性能懸掛系統，輕質車身。

Alfa Romeo MiTo GTA development abandoned

In a surprise announcement, Alfa Romeo has apparently abandoned development of the sexy MiTo GTA.

EchoingAston Martin’s cancelation of the Lagonda SUV Concept, an unnamed AlfaRomeo spokeswoman has stated the "MiTo GTA has been put on hold." In aninterview, she added that, "It’s hard to justify building such as highperformance car at this present time as the financial crisis means thatit’s not economically viable. And, sadly, it may never be." Originallyshown in concept form at the Geneva Motor Show, the MiTo GTA was to bepowered by 240 hp 1.8-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine withdirect injection and dual variable valve timing. Boasting aggressivestyling, a sportier suspension, and a light weight diet, the MiTo GTAwas poised to be an enthusiast’s dream come true.
